About Us
GameHead creates premium game mats (both licensed products from popular games and custom designs) and small box board games. We sell through multiple channels—direct to consumers, distributors, retailers, and online—and we're looking for someone who can help us tell that story better and reach more customers.
What You'll Do
This isn't a "post three times a week and call it done" role. You'll own our marketing from concept to execution and help drive real sales growth. Here's what that looks like:
- Build and run email campaigns using Klaviyo and Mailchimp—announcement emails, product launches, seasonal promotions
- Manage our social media (Instagram, Facebook) with content that gets people excited about our products and engaged with our community
- Create marketing materials for new product launches—sell sheets for distributors, retailer promo kits, consumer campaigns, all of it
- Coordinate promotions with retail and distribution partners
- Support our convention presence—booth setup, product demos, customer engagement, on-site marketing
- Track performance metrics and adjust your approach based on what the data tells you
You'll be working across the entire funnel with support from a growing team. One day you're writing copy for a new game mat or board game launch and the next you're coordinating a partner promo with a distributor or maybe you're at a convention supporting our booth and connecting with customers. We need someone who's self-motivated and can take ownership of projects, but you won't be figuring it all out alone—you'll have an experienced team behind you.
What You Need
Must-Haves:
- Experience running marketing campaigns from start to finish
- Strong copywriting skills that work for different audiences—retailers, consumers, distributors
- Hands-on experience with email platforms like Klaviyo or Mailchimp, plus social media management
- Ability to create clean, professional marketing materials
- Willing to travel to conventions a few times per quarter
- Self-motivated with the ability to take ownership of projects while collaborating effectively with the team
Big Pluses:
- Experience in the gaming industry (trading card games, board games, hobby retail, gaming accessories)
- Graphic design or video editing skills
- Experience managing B2B and B2C marketing at the same time
- You're a gamer yourself and understand what makes gaming products appeal to different audiences
The Details
- Position: Full-time, salaried
- Salary: $39,000 - $52,000 based on experience
- Location: In-office preferred (Elk Grove Village, IL), but we're flexible for the right fit. Convention travel required (travel expenses covered)
